Films promoting unsafe sexOctober 7th 2005, 17:49 Jeff Sela Apparently it's not porn films we should be worried about promoting unsafe casual sex—the real problem is the depiction of sex in Hollywood films. From the description of the study, it sounds like it's purpose was simply to castigate Hollywood movie producers for their lack of moral fibre, rather than to encourage safer sex, but it's interesting to compare it to pornography. It's true that in a lot of porn condoms aren't used, but some of the big production companies do insist on condoms, and they're also used for a lot of more ‘amateur’ porn.
