More raids for obscenity task forceOctober 8th 2005, 16:40 Jeff Sela The FBI has continued its new offensive on pornography in America with two more raids. In Pittsburgh officers raided the home of Rosie of red-rose-stories.com, which has now closed down. It is highly unusual for law enforcement in America to pursue obscenity charges over stories as opposed to pictures or video. Another raid in Polk County resulted in Chris Wilson of nowthatsfuckedup.com, which caused a fuss recently by swapping free memberships for gory pictures of dead bodies submitted by soldiers serving in Iraq. Apparently, though, it's actually the porn that is being investigated in this case, not the gore. Update: The Register has some more details about the nowthatsfuckedup.com arrest. Update: According to YNOT, the nowthatsfuckedup.com raid was actually conducted by a “local Sheriff's office with a history of being hostile towards adult entertainment,” not by the FBI |
