Police close exhibition of nude paintingsOctober 18th 2005, 12:50 Jeff Sela In Wakefield, Yorkshire, police have made an art student take down some of her paintings which show naked women embracing. The paintings aren't exactly hardcore pornography—they show breasts, a little, but that's all. Reported in the Wakefield Today (via Melon Farmers). This was Sally Barton's the first exhibition. I can't see why people think paintings like these would be dangerous to “six and seven-year-old children passing the gallery”.
