Ruling on underage gay sex in Kansas

A story in the Washington Post (via AVN) tells how the Kansas Supreme Court has ruled that men convicted of having sex with underage boys should suffer the same penalties as if they had been having sex with a girl. This was made possible by the Supreme Court's ruling in Lawrence v. Texas in 2003 that recognized sodomy laws as unconstitutional.

The ACLU is hoping that they'll now be able to secure the release of Matthew Limon, who was given a 17 year sentence for having consensual oral sex with a 14 year old boy when he himself was 18. If it had been a girl then the maximum sentence would only have been 15 months.
